About Us

The UGRs concept was created by Steve Simpson, who heads up Keystone Management Services in Australia.



We specialise in helping organisations to profit from an improved culture.

In our earlier years we worked with organisations in a training and consulting role . We soon realised that the success of our work with these firms depended on the company’s culture. Unless the culture was ‘right’, we would have very limited lasting success.

That’s what led us to create ‘Unwritten Ground Rules’ or ‘UGRs’. Two universities - the University of Western Australia and Curtin University of Technology - teamed up with Keystone Management Services to undertake world-first research into UGRs. This was the beginning of something very exciting.

Since then, we have worked with organisations around the globe. We know that the UGRs concept literally has universal appeal and impact. More importantly, the concept has the potential to change – in a fundamental way – the culture of an organisation.

Now we are creating a network of skilled trainers and consultants with high levels of expertise in the UGRs concept. These UGRs Partners work with organisations to help them understand and improve their culture – and to reap the significant benefits that flow from such improvements.
